This beautiful French fashion house began in 1921 by
Egyptian designer Gaby Aghion. By 1952 she moved her talents to Paris, then in
1985 Gaby passed the torch to Dunhill Holdings. The Cloé house was the first to
release a ‘ready-to-wear’ line. During the 1950’s fashion houses only released
couture designs leaving the middle and lower class to fend for themselves.
Today ready-to-wear is sold in greater numbers than couture. Cloé continues to
create wonderful, sensual pieces for the modest and business savvy woman.
