One of the most power provoking, pieces has hit the runway this season. Not only is it causing major head turns on the streets, but it’s making the men in the office step up their game. You guessed it; power suits are back. Prada, Miu Miu, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Dries Van Noten and everyone else, this fad  has certainly caught on. Although we’ve seen the boyish charm in the past, we know it works and now it’s time for round two.

As the independent women of the 21^st century stroll the streets, we’re now taking on a masculine feel but adding our own feminine touches to the trend. With autumn/winter on our heels (literally) it’s admit that we remain colorful and upbeat. Thankfully the designers agree and have brightened up the office with some bold yet sophisticated colors. Husseln Chalayan went with orange. Mui Mui did the entire rainbow, Prada went crazy and Clements Ribeiro color blocked his collection. Thank goodness for them because there were a lot of greys and browns this season and as wonderful as those colors are, they tend to look bleak against the snowfall.

As we continue to take our stand in the world, we as women need to dress the part. By dawning a suit we show men that not only can we work just as fast and as hard, but we also make a statement in the office. Add some color, a bright pair of sassy shoes and storm the office like the authoritative, career driven woman that you are.
