Erdem
Moralioglu
For
some designers it’s difficult to mix floral and lace, while still remaining
tough and edgy. For Erdem this isn’t the case; Erdem’s ability to take any
collection and give it a masculine-pretty feel is a talent. Year after year,
season after season Erdem Moralioglu’s collections remain timeless, trendy and
traditional.
"I see each
collection as a new chapter in the same book of her life. It's a narrative, but
she's still the same core girl: colorful, sweet, elegant and hopefully
effortless." – Erdem
Richard Nicolls
A brave new man on
the seen; fashion’s newest member with a shockingly vibrant menswear collection
featuring some provocative tennis attire. He’s futuristic and fabulous, a
simply daring duel for spring summer 2013, game point, set, match.
Rick Owens
Remember being hot
and jealous over Emily Blunt’s jackets during ‘ The Devil Wears Prada?’ Well Rick
Owens is the too blame. His mixture of femininity meets sci-fi dumpster diver,
makes us all appreciate the art of ‘pretty-ugly.’ A perfect mix for any season.
“Lyrical chaos” –
Rick Owens
Petter Pilotto
& Christopher Vos
These two designers
have created garment’s from digital prints and sculpture design, creating
compelling masterpieces. The deep rick color scheme this season is heavy with
navies and greens, a mix of jungle marine.
Nathelie Rykiel
After mother, Sonia Rykiel,
passed away, daughter Natelie took siege of this womenswear label and turned it
into a nationwide success. Sonia Rykiel is best known for gently fabrics and
flowing knits. In 2009 Rykiel introduced a collection at H&M, every piece
was a success and sold out within hours.
“You have to be
luxurious nude. It's difficult to move in the nude in front of a mirror. It's
much easier to move when you're dressed. But if you can walk around in the nude
easily in front of your man, if you can be luxurious in the nude, then you've
really got it.” – Sonia Rykiel
