Jackets

One of my personal favorite pieces in a fall
wardrobe is a great jacket. Lucky for me the designers agree and have put forth
an array of lovely autumn jackets. The nice thing about a jacket is it can take
any outfit to the next level. Balmain added some bling this season, taking the
simple over the shoulder too sparkling new heights. Dolce & Gabanna borrowed the fabric from my great grandmothers love seat and turned it into a jungle gym
suit. A perfect set to out do everyone at the party, yet classy enough for
street style photography. Some designers go for an office appropriate
collection, creating seasonal pieces for those of us who like to fly under the
radar but still wear designer clothing. Others enjoy the nightlife wearing more
colors then a rainbow and more texture then a 7-layer dip. However both are
welcomed wholeheartedly and add a level of variety into the fashion world.
This autumn winter the cool and collected
designers focused on a pastel driven color palette and lay to rest the beach
appropriate shear fabrics. Raf Simons gave his, suburban mother, twist to the
Jil Sander collection giving the overall vibe of a precedent, charming, delicate appeal to the well tailored woman. Calvin Klein did much of the same, only adding a little
leather to keep the audience guessing. Giving the collection a fresh vibe with strength and demure to carry it along. Phoebe Philo for Céline accompanies us all to the other end of the spectrum, delighting us with a bold masculine feel to
her pieces. All in all, the collection as a whole was solid, colorful and witty.
If you're living a lavish lifestyle and want to remain subdued these three
designers have crated a collection perfect for you.

For those of us who haven't had children or even
finished university, autumn/winter has blessed us with the opportunity to live
life warm and freely. Although Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen has designed
a collection full of vitality and vibrancy, I don't suggest purchasing a soft
pink frou-frou style dress. Chances of scoring a date are less then slim.
However Balmain eagerly stepped into to assist, Oliver Rousteing, designed
an LBD (Little Black Dress) that has celebrities and socialites foaming at the
mouth. If a loud, but relaxed person is reading this, chill, that's where Dolce
and Gabanna step in. Although Great Grandma Josephine's couch wasn't what you
had in mind, don't fret; it comes in white as well.
Some designers create an office appropriate
collection, where others create a fun night on the town. Autumn winter is a
perfect time for them to go crazy creating with form and texture. If you enjoy
relaxing on the terrace sipping Cristal Champaign or down at the yacht club
drinking a clean martini it doesn't matter, you'll be either in a classy coat
designed by Céline, or in a funky blinged out cropped jacket by Balmain, either
way, you're going to look stunning and warm this autumn winter.
