As Summer Set, Fall Arises

Dear Ladies
It's the end of summer and fall is upon us, it's time to
revamp the wardrobe, having said that I don't suggest you give away all your
shorts and capris. No, save them but here are a few things to add to your
collection in order to humbly embrace the new season.
Color blocking is an excellent way to add vibrancy and expand your
closet. This season Dillard’s hosted both Calvin Klein and Kenneth Cole New
York, who featured color blocked ensembles. Using loud colors that help
distinguish the waistline gives length to the leg and helps adds zest to the
torso. Yves Saint Laurent featured a collection that consisted of medium rise
pants and captivating blouses, all in dark hues allowing the wearer to
accentuate with bold and chunky jewelry. Color blocking is a quick and easy way
to add flare to the wardrobe. Find colors that work well for you and
experiment.

Another distinguishing item
to have in your wardrobe is black and gold. Together?! Yes, as menacing as that
may seem, the colors together are striking and strong. You’re daring people to
look and they dare not look away. The colors are sharp and elegant, Roberto
Cavalli designed a pant for just the occasion. Black with a shimmery gold
stripe, completing the outfit with a solid belt. Balmain created a clutch that
can’t go unnoticed and Marc Jacobs captured the essence of creativity and sex
appeal with his fall winter 2013 collection. So, be brave, be bold and try
something daring. Black is a sexy, slimming and by adding a pop of gold can
take your outfit from boring to brilliant.

Pastels are a simple way to look elegant. The colors are close to
skin tones, yes, but the overall look is nothing but fantastic. Putting two
pastels pieces together is an easy way to bring sophistication back into your wardrobe.
Ocean hues give off just the right vibes and incorporate a lady like appeal
without flaunting all you’ve got.
As summer comes to a close and we need to begin thinking
about layers and taking the children back to school, don’t forget to take time
and give your wardrobe a little overhaul. It pays off and adds confidence to
your stride. Incorporate blocking, solids, pastels and strong colors, you can
do it, I know you can! Good luck and Happy Fashion!
