1.     Michelle Obama
Not only is Michelle one of fashions most influential women, but she’s also on advocate for poverty awareness, nutrition and healthy eating. The First Lady and Beyoncé devised a plan to bring recognition to child obesity in America.

2.     Beyoncé
In 2005, after hurricane Katrina, Beyoncé and Kelley Roland, founded ‘Survivor Foundation.’ The charity house was there to help establish homes for victims of the tragedy. Later that year, Beyoncé, David and Amy Foster co wrote a song to help raise funds for children around the world.

3.     Ellen
You may not know this but Ellen is a vegan and is a huge supported of ‘Adopt-a- Turkey', she is also the ambassador to Farm Sanctuary. When Ellen came out in 1997, people were shocked, but now she, and her wife Portia, are active members of 'Parents & Friends of the Lesbian and Gay.'

4. Angelina Jolie
On August, 27, 2010, Jolie was named UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador after her trip to Sierra Leon and Tanzania, where she was given the opportunity to witness how people in Africa were living.

5.     J.K Rowling
After the success of her first Harry Potter novel, Rowling’s opened a Volant Charitable Trust. This fund gives aid to people and children around the world.

6.     Lady Gaga
Stefani isn’t just another crazy celebrity, she’s also a huge advocate for helping people world wide who have HIV or Aids. Gaga and Cyndi Lauper joined together along with MAC cosmetics, creating a line of lipsticks, all contributions go to awareness organizations to help fight the disease.

7.     Tyra Banks
In 1999 Banks founded TZONE, a program that helps young teens develop social, leadership and life skills. She has also put together a scholarship fund for young African-American girls who have the desire to further their education after high school.

8.     Oprah Winfrey
Where to start when talking about Winfrey; she has influences the world with her media presents and has raised awareness towards health situations on a global scale. She gets to the heart of the situation and won’t back down without a fight.

9.     Lucille Ball
      Growing up, I watched endless episodes of ‘I Love Lucy’ and since then my life has never been the same. From childhood this charismatic red head has always been the center of attention. Being the first ever woman to head her own television studio, this gave women of the 20th century title and a voice on the main stage.

10. Coco Chanel
Simplicity is key and although her life wasn’t as such, we can learn from her style. Chanel remains one of fashions most superior names. Her style gave women the opportunity to be themselves; to step out form behind the veil and experience a different light. A light that helped shine down on self-expression and individuality.
