I love runway shows, my first runway show that I ever watched was Burberry when I was young. I was sitting at home playing around on youtube and typed Burberry instead of blueberry and stumbled upon beauty, prestige and elegance, and I knew my life was going to take a drastic change for the better, no more blueberry's for me.

Since then, I have done many extensive hours researching designers and have fallen hopelessly in love with Alexander McQueen. Although he is no longer with us, he has passed the torch to Sarah Burton, who continues to design a collection worthy of her predecessor.

After 2001, McQueen stepped down as head designer for Givenchy in order to begin his own label, by adding a more sinister approach to an everyday design. His skull silk scarves become a trademark and helped him earn British Designer or the Year in 1996, 1997, 2001, and again in 2003.

Alexander McQueen is who you would call a "drama Queen" he lived to make people gasp, although some of his collections weren't well praised, he shrugged it off and continued designing collections that made the audience squirm. In 2007,  Mr. McQueen took his label global, from the UK, to the US of A, and everywhere in between, along with designing for celebrities such as close friend Kate Moss, to Rihanna, Sarah Jessica Parker and even Lady Gaga.

In 2010 the fashion world was stricken with sad news of Alexander McQueens suicide, along with being a drama queen on the runway, he also had a very dramatic death as well, leaving much of his assets to his animals. Lee Alexander McQueen's unfinished collection was featured in the 2010 Autumn/Winter Paris Fashion Week, in honor of the creative, and over the top, elaborate designer. Alexander McQueen, we miss and love you dearly.
