Jeremy Laing

After watching his mother sew, Jeremy (at 13) knew he was destined to be a designer, and from that day on he's been making clothing. He first began studying in Toronto but finished on an exchange program at Westminster University in London, and later was accepted as an apprentice with non other than, Alexander McQueen. Following his apprenticeship, Jeremy worked as a freelance designer developing pieces for five of McQueen's shows. Jeremy's self-taught methods, innovation and his organic and geometric approaches to patterns gave him a leg up in the design industry. In 2011, Jeremy was a finalist for the prestigious ANDAM Fashion Award.

Jeremy's collection represents couture and function for the daily life. His garments showcase structure and the relationship between clothing and body. His designs stem from what he sees, and simple principle of construction and elegant tailoring traditions.

Jeremy currently lives and designs in Toronto.
